In this version of the AU update we will dive in to news in several different AU sports.
** Auburn super star guard Chris Denson who led the SEC in scoring up until the last week of the season was awarded a second team nod by the writers, which is a bit insulting after watching Denson at work this season, if AU had won a few more games he would have been a first team choice.
** Auburn basketball attendance dropped 6.9% this season as the Tigers still haven't found a winning formula under coach Barbee, the women are reloading but will likely make the WNIT.
** If Auburn can beat S. Carolina in the 1st round of the SEC tourny it would not only be a boost for next season, it will also be a three game sweep of the Gamecocks.
** Auburn men's hoops transfer Tony Bridges says he is very confident coach Barbee will be back at AU and stands by his choice of Auburn itself. With Barbee's future at AU unsure, Bridges is getting a lot more offers and attention from other schools.
** AU Softball has had an amazing turnaround under coach Clint Meyers and are rewarded with the #24 ranking in the newest poll.
** Former AU star (RB) Tre Mason has been nominated for the AAU's Sullivan award. The award goes to the nation's most outstanding amateur athlete. Mason ran for 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.
**Former AU great (LB) Karlos Dansby has signed a 4 year deal with the Cleveland Browns, this is great for Dansby who just went back to give it one more try with the Cardinals, the team that drafted him, ended up having a defensive MVP type season which has landed him four more years.
