AU update

• Auburn So. (DE) Carl Lawson had surgery to repair damage to his left knee. Ellis Johnson said he is doing great in his recovery but the Tigers staff isn't ruling out him missing the season opener vs. Arkansas.
• Tennessee has taken a slight lead for 5* (QB) Torrance Gibson after his four day visit to Knoxville. Gibson has flipped Auburn and the Vol's around several times so far in his recruitment.
• 2016 4 star (S) Stephen Davis Jr. said he is ready to commit to Auburn "right now" but will wait to give other schools a chance, S. Carolina is his #2 school. He is of course the son of former Auburn (RB) great Stephen Davis, he would be a great pick up for Ellis Johnsons 4-2-5 scheme with his size and speed. He is listed as the #22 (ATH) of the 2016 class.
• Greg Robinson and Tre Mason have both signed their rookie contracts with the St. Louis Rams.
