Auburn's do-all Fullback Jay Prosch is the 1st Tiger to sign with the team that drafted him in 14'

Former Auburn fullback/H-back Jay Prosch is the first Auburn player that was drafted to sign his contract with an NFL team, the Houston Texans.

Prosch was drafted in the 6th round by the Texans and he wasted no time making it official.

Prosch was a do-it-all at Auburn, he played fullback, H-back, tight end and the 3 back in Malzhan's offense and earned a reputation as a big time hitter who helped pave the way for (RB) Tre Mason to break Bo Jackson's single season rushing record. He was also instrumental in the Tigers record breaking rushing attack, the first SEC school to ever lead the nation in rushing.

Gus Malzhan and other Auburn coaches have not held back in saying that Prosch is the best player at the FB/H-back hybrid position that they have ever seen. Jay is a dominate blocker who can be dangerous catching the ball out of the backfield.

Prosch signed the contract under the new rookie pay scale and as a fullback he will make the league minimum during the four years on his contract, Houston will have the option to pick up the fifth year of his deal.

Prosch will make $420,000 as a rookie, $495,000 in his second season, $570,000 in his third and will cap it off at $645,000 during his fourth year. Not bad for a guy who wasn't invited to the NFL combine.

The Texans rewarded Prosch with a signing bonus of $78,680 and his four year deal is worth $2.29 million.
